Experimenting with Big Data

It is not long ago (August 2013) Nasdaq suffered an enormous crash . Experts claimed the Nasdaq collapse was caused by a communication failure between its platform for processing quotes and trades and that of another party. The fallout of this failure resulted in a third fewer shares being traded in the US on that day. This is only one particular problem caused by too much data trafficking. Big data problems can cause many different types of failures. That is why it is important to experiment on current SaaS applications and experiment with the new emerging technologies and analysis methods. At iMinds-IBCN we created the Tengu platform , which allows clients to easily set up experiments for big data analysis and cloud applications. It has an easy to use REST interface to create these experiments.

The first public version of the Tengu platform was released in April 2015.
