Meet the major players in the Cloud during five breakfast sessions on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Once a month Sirris and Agoria will invite an IaaS provider to whom you can ask all your questions, even the technical ones. We will kick off these sessions on October 15 with Amazon. The presentations will be given in English.
The breakfast meetings promise to be five exceptional meetings, with four world players:
- Amazon (October 15)
- Rackspace, who will present OpenStack (open source) (November 14)
- IBM (December 10)
- CSC, which positions itself in the leading quadrant of Gartner Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure providers (January 14)
We will end the series with a session featuring several Belgian players, on February 11.
The participants will be able to ask concrete and technical questions to the various IaaS providers as well as discover and compare various IaaS providers who host and manage computer resources, storage and network possibilities, all done with the necessary support of a few independent experts: Toon Vanagt (data.be), Daniel Bartz (ComidIT & Guardis), Nick Boucart (Sirris) and Bart Meert (Agoria).
To make sure that you get answers to your questions you can ask them beforehand on the online registration form. In doing so the experts and IaaS providers can better prepare the workshops and you will get the best out of your meeting!
These workshops are aimed at software and e-business companies that deal with challenges such as managing scalability, availability, reliability (e.g. resource redundancy management, failover), security or recovery, or companies who want to improve these matters by outsourcing their infrastructure management. This also holds for companies who think that IaaS is the solution for them, but still have a lot of unanswered questions, which is the reason why they have not taken the step.
