On 16 June, the WebTomorrow event will take place at Flanders Expo in Ghent. After the resounding success of last year, the initiative is about to be repeated. Under the slogan "Digital is the new normal", speakers, leading companies and interested startups will come together to learn from each other. Sirris will also be there as a partner. Our mission? Teaching start-ups to scale-up.
WebTomorrow: the future of digital
WebTomorrow - an initiative of Bloovi and partners - needed less than a year to become Belgium’s go-to digital event. After a successful launch in 2015, the organisers return this year and put things into a higher gear. More than 50 domestic and international speakers will come on Thursday, June 16 to Flanders Expo in Ghent to share their insights with companies and start-ups in the digital sector. The lectures and activities focus on three themes: disruption & innovation, future marketing and Belgian start-ups.
From start-up to scale-up
Sirris is supporting the event as a partner and will be present with its own stand. Start-ups that have outgrown their initial phase and are on the verge of an international breakthrough have come to the right place with Sirris. We want to support start-ups during their growth spurt and provide practical tools and methods to turn them into scale-ups: young companies with a scalable business model. Earlier this year we, along with Agoria, set up a Flemish network for digital players.
Growing 10x bigger
At WebTomorrow we will offer start-ups a Readiness Quick Scan. By answering 10 multiple choice questions, the companies not only gain an understanding of their growth potential, but also receive customised tips for scaling up by a factor of 10. The Quick Scan works using an iPad. And as a bonus ... Afterwards, the participants will be sent a personalised report.
Guest speaker: Omar Mohout
One of the keynote speakers at WebTomorrow is Omar Mohout, professor of entrepreneurship at the Antwerp Management School and growth engineer at Sirris. As an authority in the field of technology start-ups and digital marketing, he is a welcome guest and speaker at events dedicated to innovation.
